This quest counts for the Aiding the Wold deed. Completing Aiding the Eastemnet will cancel this quest This is an instanced public questing area. The required mobs are found throughout the instance. Defeat 10 of either to complete the quest. Watch out for the hidden floor traps in front of bookshelves when moving around (small patches of dark marks on the floor). To leave the instance either return to the instance portal or use the 'Leave Instance' function (right click the character portrait).

Bestowal dialogue 'The Easterlings are a formidable foe that has long troubled us. No matter how many defeats we deliver upon them they keep returning to the field of battle. Now, they search Gerngarth for an edge in that battle. They reason that if they learn our past, they will be able to predict our responses. 'We cannot give them this opportunity. Go to Gerngarth and drive the Easterlings from the ancient library. Be wary, though, they may have trolls with them.' Background Easterlings are searching through Gerngarth for ancient Rohirric texts. Objective 1 Defeat trolls and Easterlings in Gerngarth (0/10) Easterlings and trolls can be found in Gerngarth. Wulfin asked you to venture to Gerngarth and defeat the Easterlings pillaging the ancient library. Wulfin: 'Are you ready to visit the ancient library of Gerngarth?' Enter the Public Instance: Gerngarth Objective 2 Talk to Wulfin Wulfin can be found in Harwick. Wulfin will want to hear the library of Gerngarth is secure. Wulfin: 'More will come, but for now our ways and history are safe.
